Friday, 26 May - Working Group II discussed Section IV from 10am to 1pm, and from 7pm to 10pm. Working Group I discussed Section II from 3pm to 6pm.

Wednesday, 24 May - The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), acting as the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the special session of the General Assembly entitled Women 2000: gender equality, development and peace for the 21st century, also known as Beijing +5, resumed intersessionals on Wednesday, 24 May. Working Group II discussed Section IV from 11am to 1pm, and from 7pm to 10pm. Working Group I discussed Section II from 3pm to 6pm.

Tuesday, 16 May - Working Group I met from 10am to 1pm to discuss Section II of the outcomes document, on achievements and obstacles. Working Group II met from 3pm to 6pm and 7pm to 10pm to debate Section IV, on further actions and initiatives.

Monday, 15 May - Working Group I met from 10pm to 1pm to discuss Section II of the outcomes document, on achievements and obstacles. Working Group II met from 3pm to 7pm to debate Section IV, on further actions and initiatives. The G-77/China held a consultation during an evening session originally scheduled for Working Group II. In the morning, Chair Christine Kapalata addressed delegates and offered an assessment of progress: agreement had been completely reached on two out of three paragraphs in Section I, two of 25 paragraphs in Section II; no paragraphs in Section III; and 25 of 226 subparagraphs in Section IV.

Thursday, 11 May - Working Group II met from 3pm to 6pm and, following a G-77/China consultation, from 8:30pm to 10pm. The group heard remarks from Angela King, Special Advisor to the Secretary General on Gender Issues and the Advancement of Women, and continued negotiating Section IV of the outcomes document, on further actions and initiatives.

Tuesday, 9 May - Working Group II met from 3pm to 6pm to consider Section IV of the outcomes document, on further actions and initiatives. Chair Bhattacharjee noted that paragraphs on health, including 107 (a) – (k), would be discussed in a small working group at the next session, at 3pm on Thursday, 11 May.  Following a G-77/China consultation, Working Group I met from 8:30pm to 10pm to negotiate Section III, on current challenges affecting the full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and POA.

Monday, 8 May - The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), acting as the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) for the special session of the General Assembly entitled Women 2000: gender equality, development and peace for the 21st century, also known as Beijing +5, reconvened on Monday, May 8 to resume consideration of further actions and initiatives to implement the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (POA). The current document is a streamlined version of the proposed outcome document for the special session (E/CN.6/2000/PC/L.1/Rev.2) and was prepared by the open-ended extended Bureau group following earlier negotiations from 28 February to 17 March 2000. Working Group II discussed Section IV from 3pm to 6pm. Working Group I discussed Section II from 7pm to 10pm.
