The 2014 Climate Investment Funds Partnership Forum continued on Tuesday, 24 June 2014, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Montego Bay, Jamaica. In the morning a plenary session was held on the Independent Evaluation of the CIF, which was undertaken by ICF International under the supervision of the five MDBs, with the advice and review of an International Reference Group. This was followed by morning and afternoon breakout sessions on, inter alia: social entrepreneurship; engaging stakeholders for climate-smart development; mini-grids for electricity generation; REDD+ readiness and implementation; and adaptation champions in the SIDS. During the closing plenary Patricia Bliss-Guess announced to participants that she was stepping down as Program Manager and handing the baton to Mafalde Duarte, AfDB, who will take over as Program Manager of the CIF Administrative Unit in August. The 2014 CIF Partnership Forum closed at approximately 6:00 pm, after which a closing press conference was held with participation from representatives from the IDB, Jamaica, the World Bank and the CIF Administrative Unit. |
