On Friday, 4 December, the 12th part of the second session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action (ADP 2-12) contact group considered a revised compilation text throughout the day. In the morning and afternoon, informal consultations and contact groups finalized work under the Subsidiary Bodies (SBs), and a contact group under the Conference of the Parties (COP) took place.

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) closing plenaries took place in the evening, with the SBI closing at 9:23pm and the SBSTA closing at 10:26pm.
