This high level side event, co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the UN-REDD Programme and the World Bank will take place on 16 November 2016 in Marrakech, Morocco, during the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The event will follow a town-hall format and examine how countries can take action to achieve forest and land-related Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The event will focus on using REDD+ as a catalyst and highlight multi-stakeholder actions that highlight best practices and opportunities to scale up.
