The UN Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries (UN-REDD) was launched in 2008 and builds on the convening role and technical expertise of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Environment.

UN-REDD organized a series of events during COP23. IISD Reporting Services provided coverage of the following events:
