SBI PLENARY: 


 


Delegates to SB-20 continue to meet in numerous SBSTA and SBI Contact Groups to finalize work on draft conclusions and decisions. In the afternoon the SBI convened a short plenary and adopted the draft conclusions on Article 6 of the Convention, capacity-building, implementation of Article 4 paragraphs 8 and 9, arrangements of intergovernmental meetings and administrative and financial matters.

Special Session on the Pseudo Contact Group on long term and fully binding commitments:




During a pseudo Contact Group attended by numerous delegates and observers, UNFCCC Secretariat staff member Claudio Forner proposed marriage to ENB writer Dagmar Lohan. Many tears of joy were shed as delegates expressed the view that this was possibly the most productive session of SB-20.
