Highlights for Wednesday, 29 April 2009
On Wednesday, 29 April, a session on ways and means to facilitate the development and dissemination of approaches, measures and tools was held in the form of three breakout groups, which were introduced by Helen Plume, SBSTA Chair. The first group addressed increasing economic resilience at the community level, while the second dealt with the national level. The third breakout group focused on reducing reliance on vulnerable economic sectors to climate change.
In the morning, the breakout groups identified gaps, needs and challenges. In the afternoon, participants formulated options for further action.
