Africa Forest Law Enforcement and Governance Process (AFLEG)

| On Thursday, the Ministerial segment of the Africa Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (AFLEG) Ministerial Conference commenced with delegates meeting in Plenary and closed Ministerial sessions. The segment was begun with an Official Opening ceremony followed by an Opening Address by Cameroon Prime Minister Peter Mafany Musongue. Participants heard Ministerial Statements, a report on Wednesday's Open Session on integration of AFLEG into existing regional and international frameworks, and statements from NGOs and the private sector. Ministers met in a closed meeting in the afternoon to finalize the draft Ministerial Declaration, which was presented with acclamation in the evening, followed by the closing of the Conference.
