 IISD RS will be providing coverage of the Eighth Session of the Committee on Food Security and Sustainable Development (CFSSD-8) and the Africa Regional Implementation Meeting (Africa-RIM) in preparation for the Twentieth Session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-20). CFSSD-8 will take place from 19 to 21 November 2012, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Coverage will include daily updates and a summary to be published at the conclusion of the session.
CFSSD-8 will consider the implications for Africa of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) (2012) and the region’s implementation priorities, and guidance and direction on enhanced implementation of the Food Security and Sustainable Development (FSSD) 2012/2013 work programme and priorities for the 2014/2015 biennium.The Africa RIM is being organized in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA).
