3-14 May 2010 | UN Headquarters, New York, US

UNDESA
Highlights from Monday, 10 May

Delegates to CSD 18 participated in SIDS Day on Monday, 10 May, during which they considered the CSD 18 thematic topics as they relate to small island developing States (SIDS), and conducted a review of the implementation of the Mauritius Strategy for the Implementation (MSI) of the Barbados Plan of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island States. This discussion served as the Preparatory Committee for the five-year review of implementation of the MSI (PrepCom for MSI+5). Delegates also received a draft of the Chair’s Summary (Part I) during the morning, for which they will offer comments on Tuesday afternoon.
