Highlights for Friday, 25 February 2011
CST-S2/CRIC 9 Delegates at the ninth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 9) received the draft report of CRIC 9, as contained in ICCD/CRIC(9)/L.1, at 8:05 pm on Friday, 25 February. The closing plenary convened approximately 30 minutes later, during which delegates considered the draft report paragraph by paragraph, and ultimately adopted the document. Following several closing statements, thanking fellow participants for their work and looking forward to the tenth session of the Conference of the Parties in October 2011, CRIC 9 Chair Chencho Norbu gaveled the meeting to a close at 10:35 pm.
