The United Nations Conference for the Negotiation of a Successor Agreement to the International Tropical Timber Agreement, 1994 (ITTA, 1994), Third Part, will convene at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 27 June – 01 July 2005. Over 180 delegates from governments, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations will attend the five-day Conference. Delegates will address outstanding issues from the First Part of the Conference, in February 2005, such as the scope and financial arrangement of the new Agreement.

The Conference will begin after the thirty-eighth session of the International Tropical Timber Council (ITTC-38) meeting in Brazzaville, Congo. Participants at ITTC-38 will take part in site visits and Council sessions on 19 June; 20 and 21 June comprise all-day Council sessions; and a special event on the Congo Basin Partnership will be held on 22 June.
