Governance Consultations on Post-2015 Agenda Culminate in Final Meeting

6 March 2013: The final meeting on the Post-2015 Thematic Consultation on Governance took place in Midrand, South Africa, to build consensus on how to integrate global, regional, national and sub-national governance and accountability in the post-2015 agenda. Co-led by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the discussions focused on identifying key areas and themes of governance and positioning governance in the post-2015 agenda. First Universal UNEP GC Adopts Decisions on Institutional Arrangements

25 February 2013: Delegates at the 27th session of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GC27/GMEF) adopted 13 decisions, including on: institutional arrangements; the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES); coordination across the UN system, including the Environment Management Group (EMG); oceans; sustainable consumption and production (SCP); the green economy in the context of sustainable development; advancing justice, governance and law; state of the environment; and chemicals and wastes. Inequalities Consultations Culminate in Public Dialogue, Leadership Meeting

21 February 2013: The Public Dialogue and Leadership Meeting on Addressing Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, to review the final report and findings of the Global Thematic Consultation on Addressing Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda. The Chairpersons' summary will be circulated to the UN High-level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (HLP) and the other post-2015 global thematic consultations. More.
