UNCCD CRIC 11 Forwards Report to CRIC 12

19 April 2013: The eleventh session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 11) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) developed a report that contains a synopsis of parties' views and recommendations noted on the floor in plenary. The week prior to CRIC 11, participants at the UNCCD 2nd Scientific Conference focused on the theme "Economic assessment of desertification, SLM and resilience of arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas." UNECE Outlines Possible SDG Themes

9 April 2013: During its regular 65th session, the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) addressed follow-up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) and the post-2015 development agenda for Europe. More.

INC-Forests3 Brings Forests Agreement under UN Umbrella

5 April 2013: The Resumed Third Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a Legally Binding Agreement (LBA) on Forests in Europe (INC-Forests3) recommended bringing the LBA “under the UN umbrella," considered an offer from Germany to host the Agreement, and further revised the draft negotiating text of the LBA.
