Pacific SIDS Adopt Nadi Draft Outcome in Preparation for 2014 Conference

12 July 2013: The Pacific Regional Preparatory Meeting for the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) adopted the Nadi Draft Outcome Document, which will represent the Pacific region's contribution to the Inter-regional Preparatory Meeting for the 2014 Conference. Caribbean SIDS Adopt Kingston Outcome in Preparation for 2014 Conference

4 July 2013: The Caribbean Regional Preparatory Meeting for the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) adopted the Kingston Outcome, which will be the basis of the Caribbean regional position at the upcoming Inter-regional Preparatory Meeting. More.

UNFCCC TEC 6 Discusses Research, Development and Demonstration of ESTs

28 June 2013: The sixth meeting of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC 6) of the UNFCCC was broadcast live via the Internet over the UNFCCC Technology Information Clearinghouse (TT:CLEAR) website, allowing for interaction with off-site stakeholders who participated via social media during a thematic dialogue on research, development and demonstration (RD&D) of environmentally sound technologies ESTs). Montreal Protocol Parties Discuss HFC Issues

28 June 2013: At the 33rd meeting of the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG 33) of the parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, delegates discussed the organization of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP) and initiated formal discussions on the financial, legal and technical issues associated with managing hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
