ICP-15 Discusses Role of Seafood in Global Food Security

30 May 2014: The 15th meeting of the UN Open-ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and the Law of the Sea (Consultative Process or ICP-15) brought together representatives of 80 governments, 15 intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions to examine the role of seafood in global food security. GEF Assembly Discusses Facility's Next Four Years

29 May 2014: The fifth meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Assembly, which convened from 28-29 May, in Cancun, Mexico, highlighted and discussed the GEF2020 Strategy along with the mission and vision guiding the GEF going forward. Immediately prior to the Assembly meeting, the GEF Council considered and approved the GEF-5 Work Program, among other agenda items. More.

World Mountain Forum Discusses Climate Change, Mountain Communities

24 May 2014: The World Mountain Forum, which took place from 22-24 May 2014, in Cusco, Peru, provided a platform to promote sustainable mountain development. The Forum convened sessions on four key topics: climate change; family farming; mountain communities; and mountain cities. These sessions included a particular focus on water and food security, sustainable investment and climate change adaptation. More.
