WFC XIV Concludes Setting out a 2050 Vision for Forests

11 September 2015: The fourteenth World Forestry Congress (XIV WFC) concluded with a declaration setting out a vision for 2050 that sees forests playing a decisive role for food security, improved livelihoods and in the fight against climate change. The meeting also issued messages to the UN Sustainable Development Summit and the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. More.

Environmental Law Officials Approve Recommendations on Montevideo Programme

CCAC Working Group Reviews Draft Implementation Plan

9 September 2015: During a meeting in Paris, France, from 8-9 September 2015, the Working Group of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) reviewed and further elaborated on the draft Implementation Plan for the Five-Year Strategy, whose framework was endorsed by the sixth CCAC High-Level Assembly (HLA) in May 2015.
