CFS OEWG Discusses Work to Support SDG Implementation

January 2016: Meeting at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), member countries and multi-stakeholder participants of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressed the OEWG workplan for the year and next steps regarding CFS work in support of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and achievement of the SDGs. CFS Working Group Addresses Future Work on Nutrition and Focus of HLPE Report

January 2016: Established under the auspices of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) on Nutrition held its first meeting and addressed: its workplan; the focus of the High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) report on nutrition and food systems; and CFS' further involvement in nutrition. SC66 Addresses Compliance and Illegal Wildlife Trade in Advance of CITES CoP17

January 2016: The sixty-sixth meeting of the Standing Committee (SC66) of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) discussed a long agenda to advance the conservation and sustainable use of fauna and flora, and address wildlife crime. With regard to 14 Parties that have failed to submit annual reports for three consecutive years and have not provided adequate justification for not submitting them, SC66 agreed to suspend all trade with them if their annual reports are not submitted within 60 days.
