Representatives of UN organizations and scientific agencies exchanged on a global process of describing Ecologically or Biologically Significant marine Areas (EBSAs) and discussed the ways to use EBSAs as a scientific tool for the implementation of SDG 14 in special places in the oceans.
The event was convened by the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), together with the Global Ocean Biodiversity Initiative (GOBI).
