The Workshop on HFC Management concluded in Bangkok on Tuesday 21 April 2015.

The Workshop on Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) Management convened for the second day on 21 April 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The day was divided into three sessions, each opened with short presentations by invited speakers on aspects of the session's focus, followed by reactions and discussion by a panel of technology providers/implementers, with questions posed by members of the audience, including inputs from an online board for posting questions. Session 4, "Challenges and opportunities in addressing high-GWP HFCs in the foam sector" convened in the morning.

Session 5 was divided into two parts: Part 1, "Costs of conversion, intellectual property rights, accessibility to low-GWP alternatives and timeline of availability for new technologies" was held just before lunch, and Part 2, "Energy efficiency, safety, industry’s response to low-GWP policies" convened just after lunch.

Session 6, "Key conclusions relevant to policymaking on technical management of HFCs" featured reports from the rapporteurs of Sessions 1-5 about conclusions from their sessions.

The workshop closed at 6:18 pm.
