The High-level Consultation on Conflict, Violence and Disaster and the Post-2015 Development Agenda, held on 13 March 2013 in Helsinki, opened with a welcome address by Heidi Hautala, Minister for International Development of Finland. Following an overview of the global consultation on conflict, violence and disaster, as well as the overall post-2015 process, two interactive panel discussions convened to review findings of the synthesis report relating to the sub-themes of conflict and fragility, and violence and security in the post-2015 Development Agenda.

In the afternoon, the third interactive panel discussed disaster risk reduction, before convening in two final plenary sessions to reflect on specific proposals for next steps in the post-2015 development agenda. After introducing the Chair's summary highlighting the main points of convergence in the consultation, Minister Hautala declared the meeting closed at 5:08 pm.
