The first session of the Open Working Group (OWG) of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held at UN Headquarters in New York from 14-15 March 2013.

This was the first formal meeting of the group since the adoption by the UNGA of Decision 67/555 that establishes the composition of the OWG, following the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD or Rio+20). The meeting initiated a discussion on the conceptualization of the SDGs.
