Third Session of the Open Working Group (OWG) of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

On Friday morning, participants reconvened to conclude discussions on food security and nutrition, sustainable agriculture, and DLDD, after which they continued their discussions on water and sanitation. In the afternoon, they concluded discussions on water and sanitation and heard a summary of the session and concluding remarks from Co-Chairs Csaba Körösi and Macharia Kamau. Co-Chair Körösi stressed the need for a common vision going forward aiming for transformational change to address poverty eradication and human development. He noted a positive atmosphere with participants exploring challenges, jointly identifying inter-linkages, and collectively determining and prioritizing issues. The meeting concluded at 5:32pm.
