Highlights for Saturday, 25 September 2010

UN Member States convened at UN Headquarters on Friday, 25 September, for the second and final day of the High-Level Review Meeting on the Implementation of the Mauritius Strategy for Further Implementation of the Programme of Action for Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States (MSI+5).

During the morning delegates attended a roundtable under the theme: enhancing international support for the SIDS. In the afternoon delegates participated in an interactive dialogue on cross-regional perspectives, chaired by Peter David, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Grenada.

In the closing plenary, MSI+5 delegates adopted the resolution of the meeting (A/65/L.2), which includes a political declaration.
