On Tuesday, 1 December 2015, a side event on the importance of social science research for understanding climate change induced migration was organized by the universities of Lund, Hamburg, and Lancaster during UNFCCC COP 21 in Paris. Participants discussed the root causes of climate migration; post-2015 policies to manage human mobility; and climate change and the future research and policy agenda.
