On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, the event “GCC Countries Contributions to the Development of Clean Technologies Innovation” took place at the Marrakech Climate Conference (COP22).

This video spotlights recent technology developments in GCC countries that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Harnessing hydraulic energy at oil and gas facilities can be used for new power sources. Advances in laser light technology show potential applications in energy efficient lighting and high-speed communications. An update on climate data for the region underscores the need for new clean technologies.
