IISD Reporting Services has produced video coverage from the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress which took place from 1 to 10 September in Honolulu, US. The Forum was held during the first part of the Congress, and was a four-day event that functioned as hub for public debate, dialogues, workshops and social events and brought together almost 9,000 participants from around the planet. This video captures the views of key environmental leaders present in the Forum, who joined forces with IUCN to propose solutions for nature conservation and implementation of the sustainable development goals.

The IUCN Members’ Assembly 2016 took place from 6 to 10 September 2016. The IUCN Members’ Assembly is the highest decision-making body of IUCN and brought together thousands of stakeholders to deliberate on the most pressing decisions on conservation and sustainable development.
