IDRC WORKSHOP ON "INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE AND TRADITIONAL COPING STRATEGIES":

This workshop will focus on the impact of indigenous knowledge and traditional coping strategies on the prevention or mitigation of land degradation in the desertification process in Africa. The workshop will be held in Cairo from 3-5 January. IDRC is planning two additional meetings, designed to provide relevant knowledge and information to African negotiators, to be held in the first half of 1994.
