ASIAN PREPARATIONS:

It is unlikely that there will be another formal meeting held on the Regional Implementation Annex for Asia. However, informal consultations will probably continue during the intersessional period. It is not expected that any major re-drafting will be done. One issue, however, that must be resolved is the inclusion of countries that are located in Asia but not members of the UN Asian Group, (i.e., the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan and Israel).
