IN THE CORRIDORS

The contact group chaired by Takao Shibata (Japan) has been negotiating a draft text on the interim arrangements for the implementation of the African annex. The group is addressing three questions: what national, regional or joint actions are necessary; when the process should start (most likely after the signing of the Convention and before the meeting of the COP); and what other international organizations, developed country Parties, and NGOs would contribute.
