SIGNING CEREMONY IN PARIS

The Convention was opened for signature at a ceremony in Paris on 14-15 October 1994. Eighty-five countries and the European Union signed the Convention. A list of signatories can be found on page 11. The Convention remains open for signature at UN Headquarters in New York until 13 October 1995.
