SECOND SESSION OF THE CSD:

The 1994 session of the Commission, currently scheduled for 16-27 May (with a possible extension until 3 June) will provide the first opportunity for substantive review of the Rio agreements. As there has been no formal decision regarding the venue for CSD meetings, it is expected that the 1994 session will take place in New York.

According to the multi-year thematic programme of work adopted by the CSD, the 1994 session will address the following chapters of Agenda 21:
