POPULATION CONFERENCE: UPDATE

Although the next session of the Preparatory Committee for the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) will not take place until April 1994, there is much to report on the eve of the General Assembly's debate and review of ICPD activities. In preparation for the General Assembly debate, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, 4 November 1993, this special issue of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin will highlight activities that have taken place since the conclusion of PrepCom II last May and summarize the Secretariat's annotated outline of the final document of the Conference, which is expected to serve as the basis for the General Assembly's discussions.
