II. PRINCIPLES:

This section will provide the guiding philosophy in the area of population and development. The principles will build as much as possible on agreed international instruments and will be organized around the following major topics: human rights and population; the responsibility of society for human development, reproductive health and family planning; sustainable development and population; and partnership in population.
