B. Population, socio-economic development and poverty alleviation:

Selected topics for recommendations include: making the alleviation of poverty, the achievement of equitable social and economic relations, and the provision of basic infrastructure and social welfare services key components of socio-economic development and central factors for harmonizing demographic trends with sustainable development. Other topics include giving high priority to investments and expenditures to facilitate access to education, training and credit to all deprived sectors of society, and giving high priority to economic policies that increase opportunities to participate in the formal labor force.
