GROUP OF 77:

Colombia, on behalf of the G-77, stressed that the Secretariat must pay careful attention to the points of view of the developing world. The full understanding of the changing economic, cultural and political conditions of the developing world constitutes the fundamental basis for an effective support of the international community to the efforts of developing countries to incorporate population components into development strategies. The G-77 pointed out that it attaches great importance to Part III of the document, which is devoted to the means of implementation.
