THINGS TO LOOK FOR TODAY

PLENARY: There is a heavy agenda for the final day of PrepCom III. The Plenary must still consider the following chapters of the Programme of Action: I, II, III, VII, VIII, XIII (Section C only), and XVI. In addition, the Plenary must adopt the draft rules of procedure for the Cairo Conference, accredit four new lists of NGOs to the Conference, and adopt the report of the PrepCom. Unless the Chair applies severe discipline and curbs discussion on the remaining portions of bracketed text where agreement cannot be easily reached, it will be a very late night (or an early Saturday morning) in Conference Room 1.
