IX. BIODIVERSITY RESOURCES:

This chapter emphasizes the importance of biodiversity, particularly marine and coastal species, to SIDS. Paragraph A(vii) which mentions the concerns of SIDS to protect the rights of those whose indigenous knowledge and know-how of biodiversity is overtaken by commercial exploitation of the resources, remains in brackets.
