NIGERIA:

With the assistance of UNEP, Nigeria conducted its first country study categorizing flora, fauna and protected areas. In conjunction with UNDP, Nigeria also undertook a limited study identifying institutions with the capacity and need for assistance to promote the sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity. Both the completion of a country study and the development of a national action plan pend further technical and financial support.
