PERU:

As one of its original signatories, Peru has already ratified the Convention. The preservation of the human species and the conservation of biological diversity will only be possible through the appropriate implementation of the Convention through national legislation that respects and promotes traditional cultural values. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen those ecosystems that support indigenous populations. As a priority for international cooperation, capacity building is necessary in education, information, and the promotion of endogenous technologies.
