CITES:
The next meeting of the Conference of the Parties to
the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES)
will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, US from 7-18 November
1994. The most controversial agenda item should be the
recommendations from the Standing Committee on criteria for listing
species on the appendices. Also, look for debate on the listing of
several tropical timber species and the relationship to the ITTO.
