THE SECOND GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY FORUM:

IUCN/ WRI/UNEP will sponsor another Global Biodiversity Forum to be held in Nassau on 26-27 November 1994. The details are still under consideration. The meeting, according to the sponsors, will be a two-day forum of information, dialogue and definition of measures for action by government agencies, communities, industry, indigenous groups, scientists and NGOs. The two areas of concern for the meeting will be how to integrate conservation and sustainable use of the biodiversity and biological resources found in marine ecosystems into the Convention and how find ways to determine priorities for action and investment at the global, national and local levels.
