UN-Water The 28th UN-Water Meeting will take place from 1-2 February 2017, at the headquarters of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, Italy. The meeting will gather UN-Water members and partners to discuss issues related to UN-Water.

UN-Water coordinates the efforts of UN entities and international organizations working on water and sanitation issues. Over 30 UN agencies, programmes and other UN entities dealing with water-related issues, including sanitation and natural disasters are Members of UN-Water. Over 35 international organizations, professional unions, associations or other civil-society groups that are actively involved in water, international in structure and membership are Partners of UN-Water. 

During the two-day meeting in February, UN-Water Members will discuss issues related to UN-Water governance. Sessions with UN-Water Members and Partners will discuss: the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (clean water and sanitation) Integrated Monitoring Initiative; the SDG 6 Synthesis Report 2018 on Water and Sanitation; the World Water Development Reports 2018 and 2019; World Toilet Day 2017 and planning for World Toilet Day 2018; and planning for World Water Day 2018 and 2019. In addition, the World Water Data Initiative – Good Practice Guidelines will be launched during a side event.
