WCEF 2017 The World Circular Economy Forum 2017 (WCEF 2017) will take place from 5-6 June 2017, in Helsinki, Finland. The meeting will bring together around 1,500 of the world’s leading experts and decision makers in the field of circular economy.

WCEF 2017 aims to show how the circular economy presents new and unprecedented opportunities to create wealth and well-being, as well as how it is the essential engine behind achieving the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals. Host country Finland will present its experiences with turning the vision of a circular economy road map into reality and delivering concrete benefits across all sectors of business and society.

WCEF 2017 features 17 plenary and parallel sessions showcasing circular economy solutions for business, cities and finance. Workshops, side events and business excursions are also on the agenda. A wide variety of topics will be addressed, including: integrating circular economy into the 2030 Agenda; innovation challenges for the circular economy; circular cities; economic research on the circular economy; and financing the circular economy.

WCEF 2017 is organized by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and the Finnish Ministries of Environment, Foreign Affairs, and Economic Affairs and Employment, with seven co-organizers, including the European Commission and the UN Environment Programme.
