CBDContact groups 1 on scope and finance, and 2 on compliance met throughout the day and in the evening. Contact group 1 focused on the draft protocol's relationship with other international agreements, while contact group 2 discussed issues related to the certificate of compliance, disclosure requirements and checkpoints. A brief mid-day plenary reviewed progress and established a fifth group to review the draft COP decision prepared by the Working Group Co-Chairs, which met at lunchtime.
