The 2nd meeting of SBSTTA will be held from Monday 2 September
to Friday 6 September 1996 in the Montreal Convention Centre
located downtown:

The official opening is at 10:00 on 2 September 1996. Registration will
start on 1 September 1996 from 15:00 to 20:00. Registration will continue
at 08:00 on 2 September.
Access to Montreal
Montreal is serviced by two (2) airports: Dorval airport (15 km from
downtown) for flights from within North America and Mirabel airport (50
km from downtown) for overseas flights. You can reach Montreal by taxi,
or by buses leaving every 30 minutes. Fares :

Please find attached (Annex
I) a list of hotels located in the vicinity of the Convention Centre
of Montreal / Palais des Congrès de Montréal
and of the Secretariat of the Convention or next to a Metro station
(the Montreal Metro is safe). It is strongly recommended to book your
hotel as soon as possible as the beginning of September is still peak season.

Montreal is GMT less 5 hours.
Weather:
The beginning of September is usually a pleasant time with summer conditions
and a maximum temperature averaging 22°C (72°F) and minimum 12°C
(54°F). There is a moderate risk of showers and thunder storms.
Voltage:
110 volts, 60 Hertz. It is possible to buy transformers for $50.
