Co-Chair Jae Choe (Republic of Korea), on behalf of the COP 12 Presidency, gaveled the meeting to a close
at 1:18 pm.

On Saturday morning, the plenary of the Article 8(j) Working Group adopted all outstanding recommendations, including on the voluntary guidelines on prior informed consent (PIC) and benefit-sharing from traditional knowledge use with bracketed references to "free" and "approval and involvement" for COP 13 consideration. Plenary then engaged in an in-depth dialogue on challenges and opportunities for international and regional cooperation in the protection of shared TK across borders for the strengthening of TK and the fulfillment of the three objectives of the Convention, in harmony with nature/Mother Earth. Co-Chair Choe gavelled the meeting to a close at 1:18pm.
