The thirteenth meeting of the Chemical Review Committee (CRC-13) of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, will be held from 23 to 27 October 2017 at the FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy, back-to-back with POPRC-13. The pre-meetings of the CRC-13 will take place on Sunday, 22 October 2017.

CRC-13 is scheduled to consider the notifications of final regulatory action of thirteen chemicals including acetochlor, atrazine, carbon tetrachloride, chlordecone, endosulfan, hexabromocyclododecane, hexazinone, mirex, pentachlorobenzene, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride (PFOSF), phorate, polychlorinated naphthalenes and triazophos. The Committee will also consider the proposals to include lambda-cyhalothrin emulsifiable concentrate 50 g/L and lambda-cyhalothrin capsule suspension 50 g/L as severely hazardous pesticide formulations (SHPFs) in Annex III to the Convention.
