On Thursday, 13 September 2018, CRC-14 concluded its work by:
- agreeing to the draft decision and rationale for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and related compounds, and establishing an intersessional working group to work on the decision guidance document (DGD) on the proposal to list PFOA, its salts and related compounds in Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention;
- agreeing to the draft decision and rationale for HBCD and deciding not to take further action on this notification, given the previous decision to recommend HBCD for listing in Annex III of the Convention;
- discussing other matters, including a report on the collection of examples of severely hazardous pesticide formulations reviewed by CRC, and a report on the intersessional work on “From Science to Action;” and
- setting the date for CRC-15 as 7-11 October 2019 and agreeing that the meeting will be held at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
