The 11th High Level Assembly (HLA) of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (CCAC) will take stock of progress made and discuss scaling-up of the CCAC’s Action Programme to Address the 1.5˚C Challenge. This action programme, which was launched at the 10th Assembly meeting, aims to contribute towards achieving the Paris Agreement temperature targets.
At the Assembly, Ministers and heads of partner organisations will:
- adopt a “2030 Vision Statement” for enhanced ambition;
- extend the Coalition’s mandate; and
- celebrate achievements to date.
The 11th High Level Assembly will take place on 22 September 2019 in New York, USA, on the eve of the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit. The aim is to take the new phase of the Coalition and the issues discussed at the Assembly meeting, to the Summit the following day.
